The CW Reschedules Premiere Date for New Series ‘Capture’



July 18, 2013 (Burbank, California) – The CW has moved up the premiere date for its new reality competition series CAPTURE from the previously announced date of Wednesday, July 31 to Tuesday, July 30 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET), immediately following the hit comedy series WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY?. CAPTURE will continue to air in its new regularly scheduled time period on Tuesdays.

As previously announced, AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL: GUYS AND GIRLS will kick-off its 20th cycle with a two-hour premiere on Friday, August 2 (8:00-10:00 p.m. ET). Beginning August 9, the dating show PERFECT SCORE will move to its new timeslot, Fridays (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET), paired with TOP MODEL at 9:00.

Big Brother Producers Trying to Fix the Glitch with New Twist

With houseguest Jeremy out the door, the producers of Big Brother have decided to try and fix the glitch they created with their MVP twist this season.

This week, the MVP will be YOU — America!

That’s right, since it appears that CBS was powerless to prevent Rachel Riley’s social media army from giving the special power to Rachel’s sister Elissa every week, they’ve decided to flip the script entirely and allow America to nominate someone for eviction.

‘Sarah Palin’s Alaska’ Hunts for Viewers (One Season Wonders)

TLC-Sarah-Palins-AlaskaPolitics aside… do you enjoy watching someone who watches nature?

Sarah Palin’s Alaska was a weird, high profile failure for TLC in late 2010 and early 2011.  The show ran for 9 episodes — 8 originals and a clip show series finale.

We’re calling this a one season wonder, although TLC marketed it as an “8-week television event” — so perhaps the plan was always to limit the show to one season?

NBC Touts Ratings Success for Monday Line-Up

nbcToday’s NBC press release touts the network’s pleasure with the success of an all reality-themed night programming.  The peacock is airing ‘American Ninja Warrior’ and ‘Get Out Alive’ from 8-10pm, followed by the fiction/dramatic series ‘Siberia’ about a reality show gone horribly wrong.

The release highlights the following numbers:

From 8-9 p.m. ET, “American Ninja Warrior” (1.5 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall) delivered half-hour to half-hour growth in every key ratings category, including jumps of 21% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.7 from a 1.4) and 10% in total viewers (5.4 million vs. 4.9 million). “American Ninja Warrior” is currently running within a tenth of a rating point of last week’s 1.6 in 18-49 (and may round up in official nationals, currently rating at a 1.54) while delivering a gain week to week in total viewers (5.131 million vs. 5.066 million).

Versus the same night last year, “American Ninja Warrior” is up 12% in total viewers (5.131 million vs. 4.587 million).  In the time period, “American Ninja Warrior” is #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in all key adult-male demos (men 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54) and #2 in adults 18-49.
